LifArcs is a life story, not a feed of posts. Here is how your Arc, visibility, following, Arc Story, and catalog pages work.

What is LifArcs?

Each life is a story. LifArcs gives it a shape: Past, Present, Future — chapters, not a wall of statuses.

The Home and Following feeds update on their own when a visible part of an Arc changes (a chapter, an event, a present update). You do not post to the feed.

Create my Arc

Sign up with email or Google, then open My Arc. Fill in your name, photo, banner, and a short line about you. Your public address is lifarcs.com/your-handle.

You can keep everything private while you write, then open it when you are ready.

Past, Present, Future

Past: chapters of your life, key events, photos from that time, and a map of places you have lived or traveled.

Present: who you are now — work, interests, a typical day, family, photos from lately, a short reflection.

Future: goals, plans, and intentions. They stay on your Arc; they are not a to-do app for other people.

Who can see what?

Two layers. First, the Arc as a whole: Public (anyone), Unlisted (anyone with the link), Followers (findable in search; visitors see only public items; people who follow you see public and followers-only items), or Only me.

Second, each item (chapter, event, photo, present card, story) has its own setting: Public, Followers, or Only me. The stricter of the two wins. Example: a public chapter on a private Arc stays invisible to others.

Change Arc visibility from the profile banner (edit profile visibility). Change an item next to that item.

Following, followers, and Home

Follow an Arc to see its visible updates on Home and Following. Home shows people you follow — there is no recommended tab.

You can sort people you follow into private lists. Lists organise Following; they do not yet filter the Home feed.

On Followers you see who follows you. You can remove a follower; they will no longer see followers-only content.

The bell next to your photo opens Notifications: important events, starting with who began following you.

Nothing is published as a “post”. If nothing changed on an Arc, nothing new appears in the feed.

My public page

On desktop, My Arc has “Edit my profile” and “View public profile” next to the tabs. On a phone, open the menu under your photo.

Search and Explore only list Arcs set to Public or Followers, and only public information until someone follows you.

Catalog pages, claim, report

Some pages are compiled by LifArcs from publicly available sources and are not yet claimed. They are not an official statement by that person or organization.

If the page is about you (or you represent them), use Claim this page. We may ask for proof. Verified (the ✓) is granted by LifArcs after a check — you cannot assign it yourself.

To flag an error or ask for a takedown, use Report or Request a correction or deletion in the footer of that profile.

Photos

Profile photo and banner, Life lately, and chapter souvenirs: JPEG, PNG or WebP, 5 MB max. We store a lighter copy for display.

Only photos marked Public appear on the public profile. Followers-only photos are for people who follow you. Only me stays on your Arc.

Arc Story

Story is a vertical recap of your Arc (about 9:16). Open My Arc Story to choose Past, Present and Future — auto montage, or pick the scenes yourself. Intro and closing always stay on. Visibility is separate from the Arc: Public, Followers, or Only me.

On a public profile, the gold ring on the photo means people allowed to watch can tap to open the story. If they cannot, they just see the photo.

You can generate a video on this device, then share it with your phone or computer’s share sheet, or save the file. The video is not uploaded to LifArcs.

The life map

On Past, the map places cities from your events and current city. Move the year slider: places appear over time.

Coordinates are stored when missing (OpenStreetMap Nominatim). There is no paid map provider.

Account, language, deletion

Settings: email, password, language, and delete account. You can also sign in with Google. Deleting your account removes your personal Arc.

You must be at least 15. LifArcs is not for younger children.
